An Important Part Of Making It In The Hip Hop Industry Is Having The Right Beats Or Instrumental. You Can Have The Best Lyrics In The World, But If You Record It Over The Wrong Beat The Song Will Not Be A Hit. The Best Thing To Do Is To Find A Beat That Fits Your Style Or Write To A Beat. Also Make Shore Your Hook Sounds Good With The Beat. The Worse Thing Is To Have A Good Verse And When It Comes To The Hook It Falls Short. When Buying A Beat The Best Thing To Do Is Find The Best Beat For The Lowest Price. Another thing is to get a beat you can use for life. There is nothing wrong with leasing a beat but you can get into a lot of inconvenience if you make a hot song and the time on the beat is up. Read more...

Hip Hop Beats Warning - Be Careful Where You Buy Your Hip Hop Beats By Adam Bauthues
As an up and coming hip hop artist you need to be very careful. You are more open to attack than most simply because of the music industry being in the shape it is. The last thing you want is to have all your hard work disintegrated because you used hip hop beats, sound effects or samples that were not as royalty-free as you expected. The horror stories are many and knowing how to protect yourself is of utmost importance.
Hip hop artists and producers need a constant flow of new hip hop beats, sound effects, samples and scratches to keep their music fresh and on the cutting edge. The problem is that finding a cost-effective and legal means of acquiring these hip hop beats is proving to be difficult. Hopefully the following list of things to look for and what to avoid will aid you in your search for a top notch hip hop beats resource for all your production needs.
1) Look for a hip hop beats resource where you can have unlimited access for a one-time fee. Avoid sites that charge per beat or that require a monthly membership to be paid to access the hip hop beats, sound effects etc. This is of course the best case scenario you could find. These resources are rare and are not advertised heavily (for obvious reasons) but they are available and are a much better option for any artist or producer starting out, who is looking for a good selection of raw hip hop beats.
2) Look for a resource that houses a huge hip hop beats database or library. Avoid unprofessional looking sites that offer hip hop beats packages or CD's for sale and that only offer up one or two audio samples to listen to. The worst thing that can happen is to purchase a beat membership, whether a one-time fee or a monthly access fee, to a site that has so few hip hop beats everyone and their grandmother will have access
Preparing for Google's New Search Engine Enhancements.
We recently made some small coding modifications and notified Google of these changes in hopes to keep up with their recent search results updates. The web is constantly changing and it's important that we at least try and stay current. If you have not recently taken the time to look around the web, then please do so. The online user experience is shifting and its shifting fast. What was once normal for us is morphing into a whole new standard. Coming sometime in 2010 Microsoft will begin to power Yahoo search with their new Bing algorithm this change alone should make you to re-think your online marketing strategies. Both Google and Bing will included twitter posts into these results to display a more really time effect. Google this year has been making acquisition after acquisition include a mobile advertisement company to their portfolio. In my opinion this plus the development of their Android mobile operating system makes me believe something major is about to go down. And last but not least to top it off by January 1st we plan to officially start the uEmcee Online Store, I sent off for the paper work today so we have our fingers crossed that everything will go smoothly. Once the store is online please support us by making a purchase, we are hoping for success with this addition.

]]> Now with Faster Searches!
A few minor changes made over the weekend to enhance the user experience. We modified the search feature to included auto suggested location. So now when you enter in the first letter of your search what should be returned is a filtered down list of locations that begin with the letter of your search query. Overall this is a small change but should help speed up user searches and enhance the experience.
We also modified the search results itself. A user is now able to drill down one additional level to the location's city. So basically if you just want to see all of the independent artists/bands that are in Los Angles California or Atlanta Georgia you can. Simply click the city of any artist of band in the search result.
Again these are minor changes but we hope that they make the user experience a bit better.
For any questions or concern please contact us at Feed Back And please leave a email address so we can contact you back.

]]> Tweet your favorite artist.
It's been a while since we've added a new feature to the system, but we are sure you will enjoy this one. Tweeting! It’s incredibly easy, all the cool kids are doing it and it's a great way to increase the visibility to your profile. Simply click on the "Tweet it!" link that's located underneath the "Add To Friends" links and BAM! that's it. The script will do all the work by opening your twitter account and pre-populating the input box, after that it’s up to you to follow through.

With Facebook and Twitter being some of the largest social website in the world we have basically covered all the bases now.
Of course for you to take advantage of this feature you will have to have a Twitter account. And if you don’t have one... you should get on board http://twitter.com

]]> Facebook Share and more.
Show your favorite independent artist some love, I mean they are your favorite right? This past weekend we added a new function/feature to the uEmcee members profile page. This function/feature replaces the old “Flag for Abuse” link with a “Share on Facebook’ link. By simply clicking this like Facebook users can now post their favorite artist’s info that’s including image, location and site address to their Facebook page. We’re happy about this addition and hope it spreads the word. It’s the year of the independent artist, the revolution has started, spread the word!
For Example

P.S. New Jersey, I see you.

to them. This is the problem with purchasing CD's from a supposed production company. You have no clue how many of them they sold and I guarantee you that there is not much on there and they are highly unoriginal.
3) Look for a site that caters to all genres of hip hop. Avoid sites or companies that do not separate their hip hop beats by genre or style. I don't know about you but I do not really want someone else to define for me what hip hop is. This just goes along with making sure you are providing for yourself a wide range of choices for your productions. If you have access to every hip hop beats style imaginable your productions will come across as more professional and original. A real professional production company is capable of doing this and is also capable of churning them out on a daily or weekly basis for your personal use.
4) Look for a site that offers all their hip hop beats and sound effects in a downloadable format. Avoid sites that only stream their hip hop beats. By being able to download each individual hip hop beat, scratch, or effect to your own computer, you can more easily incorporate it into your own production setup and tweak it to your liking. If you paid for it and it is yours, why would you only be able to stream the track? That just makes extra work for you and is unprofessional.
5) Look for a site that offers non-exclusive and royalty-free hip hop beats. Avoid ANY site that does not implicitly state this somewhere on the main page. This is probably the most important aspect of all and forgetting this one thing could cost you dearly. You do not want to have to worry about licensing restrictions or copyright infringement. Protect your hard work and do not let anyone take it from you. Royalty-free means you do not have to pay anyone to use the hip hop beats or sounds. You can mix and match, tweak and produce to your liking without restriction.
Although these are not the only considerations to take into account they are certainly the most important. Things like the quality of the hip hop beats and the price for membership are left up for you to decide. You know what is best for your music. Good luck and we'll see you on the flipside!
Adam Bauthues recommends Beats 365 for unlimited, royalty-free hip hop beat downloads.
