I'm Not Sure Where The Online Beat Selling Market Is Going Right Now, But I Can Say Its Pretty Competitive Out There Right Now For Hip Hop And Rap Instrumentals. I Look At All The Beat Selling Sites I Used To Use In The Past Year And I Now See That They Have Become Super Saturated With Newbie Producers And Fake Accounts. But In Looking Past The Obvious, When I'm Judging The Best Beat Selling Sites To Join, I Look At What The Site Is Doing To Market Itself, The Volume Of Unique Traffic, The Number Of Producers/accounts On The Site And Customer Service. This Usually Gives Me An Idea Of How Competitive A Site May Be For My Business And If Someone Is Going To Help Me When I Need Help. I used to use RocBattle - a site where you can battle your hip hop beats against other producers around the world and also buy and sell your beats too. But that site quickly became saturated with Read more...

Sell Beats Online - Give The People What They Want By Rich Sample
The most important factor in making big money from making beats is one you might not like. Actually it's one that took me some time to adjust to. That factor is making beats that the ARTIST WANT.
I'm not saying don't make beats you enjoy making, but to make big money with them online you need to make beats artist want. I've always had my own style, but I had to adapt other styles in order to make money.
You have to remember you are running a business. Do businesses sell what the owner wants or what the customer wants?
Break out of that mindset (If you're in it) that you are making beats for "you". If that's the case you don't have to worry about ever making money with them.
I use to frown upon other producers when I would see them making beats saying "Lil Jon type beat", or "Dr. Dre type beat". I always thought it was better to be original if I wanted to make it in the game. That is true, but not if I wanted to make lots of cake selling beats online.
The secret is making simple beats that are hot
"right now". I remember when Lil Jon held the airwaves hostage. Every body wanted a beat by lil Jon. So what the smart producers did was swallow their pride and make a bunch of Lil Jon knockoffs. We made a killing.
See most net producers were talking down to us. Saying things like "Oh you need to be original", and "You're not going to make it in the game copying other producers".
If they only knew we were laughing all the way to the bank. While they were "Shopping" their original beats praying for a placement, we were making thousands per week just leasing these beats. The best part is these beats took 10 minutes to make at most.
I'd just take an 808 kick, 808 clap, whistle, and a trance synth then make a quick banger. Honestly the beats weren't that good in my opinion, but they had bounce. Most of all the up and coming rappers wanted them.
Don't get me wrong I leased some of my original beats over and over and make some good money, but the majority of the money came from the knock offs.
What you need to do is turn on your radio, switch your channel to BET, and find out what is hot right now. Find out the type of beats that are popular right now.
If you hate commercial music and think its "Stupid", that's your personal opinion. The cold hard truth is you won't make much money that way. There just isn't a market for those types of beats. You just have to deal with it if you want to sell beats online.

Preparing for Google's New Search Engine Enhancements.
We recently made some small coding modifications and notified Google of these changes in hopes to keep up with their recent search results updates. The web is constantly changing and it's important that we at least try and stay current. If you have not recently taken the time to look around the web, then please do so. The online user experience is shifting and its shifting fast. What was once normal for us is morphing into a whole new standard. Coming sometime in 2010 Microsoft will begin to power Yahoo search with their new Bing algorithm this change alone should make you to re-think your online marketing strategies. Both Google and Bing will included twitter posts into these results to display a more really time effect. Google this year has been making acquisition after acquisition include a mobile advertisement company to their portfolio. In my opinion this plus the development of their Android mobile operating system makes me believe something major is about to go down. And last but not least to top it off by January 1st we plan to officially start the uEmcee Online Store, I sent off for the paper work today so we have our fingers crossed that everything will go smoothly. Once the store is online please support us by making a purchase, we are hoping for success with this addition.

]]>Now with Faster Searches!
A few minor changes made over the weekend to enhance the user experience. We modified the search feature to included auto suggested location. So now when you enter in the first letter of your search what should be returned is a filtered down list of locations that begin with the letter of your search query. Overall this is a small change but should help speed up user searches and enhance the experience.
We also modified the search results itself. A user is now able to drill down one additional level to the location's city. So basically if you just want to see all of the independent artists/bands that are in Los Angles California or Atlanta Georgia you can. Simply click the city of any artist of band in the search result.
Again these are minor changes but we hope that they make the user experience a bit better.
For any questions or concern please contact us at Feed Back And please leave a email address so we can contact you back.

]]>Tweet your favorite artist.
It's been a while since we've added a new feature to the system, but we are sure you will enjoy this one. Tweeting! It’s incredibly easy, all the cool kids are doing it and it's a great way to increase the visibility to your profile. Simply click on the "Tweet it!" link that's located underneath the "Add To Friends" links and BAM! that's it. The script will do all the work by opening your twitter account and pre-populating the input box, after that it’s up to you to follow through.

With Facebook and Twitter being some of the largest social website in the world we have basically covered all the bases now.
Of course for you to take advantage of this feature you will have to have a Twitter account. And if you don’t have one... you should get on board http://twitter.com
